Volunteers are our Superpower!

Donors Make It All Possible!

Here’s how we do it

New and restored homes

Our program/construction team works with supervised volunteers work in partnership with qualified, low-income individuals committee to pay off the house with a 0% loan. Licensed subcontractors complete electrical, plumbing, and ventilation work as required by codes. We sell the home without profit, and arrange an affordable mortgage. Payments are recycled to build more Habitat homes.

Critical Repairs

We help qualified homeowners with needed repairs that threaten their well-being, health and safety, and may include solutions to citations and/or housing code violations. We don’t make emergency repairs. We also do weatherization projects.

We need your help to do this work!

We’re currently building and repairing in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Township, Portage, Schoolcraft and Otsego.

We’re partnering with Home Depot this fall to provide critical home repairs for veterans and widows of veterans. We’re using regular volunteers, along with Home Depot volunteers and Home Depot Foundation donations to fix doors and ramps, windows, flooring, porches, adding some landscaping for good measure!

Thank you, Advia Credit Union!

We are proud to partner with our sponsor, Advia Credit Union, to keep application fees for our Homeownership Program affordable.
