Critical Home Repair Program

Here’s how to apply

Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity builds homes, restores homes and does critical repairs on homes.

Our Critical Home Repair Program requirements are these:

  1. Must be located within our service area (Kalamazoo County, Gun Plain Township, Otsego Township, Otsego, Plainwell)
  2. Must own your home and it must be your primary residence
  3. Must be below 80% Average Median Income (see charts)
  4. Must be up to date on property taxes and must have homeowner’s insurance (unless the needed repairs are preventing them from getting insurance)
  5. We do not do cosmetic repairs or remodels; we only do repairs critical to the health and safety of a home and its occupants. We also complete weatherization and accessibility repairs.

Below is a downloadable application form.  You can fill this out on your computer and then print it out or you can print it out first and fill it out by hand. Please return the completed application and supporting documents to:
