Bronson ERG Builds Community as a Corporate Impact Build Sponsor

At Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity, our work is made possible by community partners who believe everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. We’re proud to recognize Bronson Methodist Hospital as a Corporate Impact Build Sponsor and the Bronson Employee Resource Group (ERG) for putting that support into action.

Building Impact Together

As a Corporate Impact Build Sponsor, Bronson provided a financial contribution, while members of its ERG stepped out of their everyday roles and onto a Habitat jobsite for two days of hands-on volunteering.

On August 5 and 6, the group worked together to build storage sheds for two new Habitat homes on Charlotte Avenue in Kalamazoo.

The sheds provide our future homeowners with much-needed storage for lawn equipment, bikes, tools, and the everyday items that come with owning and caring for a home. Just as importantly, every project completed by volunteers helps Habitat stretch our resources further so we can continue serving more local families.

Housing and Health Go Hand in Hand

There is a natural connection between the work of Bronson and Habitat. A safe, healthy home is more than a roof overhead. It is an important foundation for a healthy life.

Stable, affordable housing can give families greater financial security, a healthier living environment, and the stability to focus on work, education, family, and their future.

That makes Bronson’s partnership especially meaningful. Together, we’re investing not only in homes, but in the long-term health and well-being of families throughout our community.

Corporate Teams Can Build Change

Corporate Impact Build Days give local businesses and employee groups an opportunity to work together outside of their normal environment while making a tangible difference right here in our community.

No construction experience is necessary. Habitat provides the tools, guidance, and instruction, and volunteers provide the teamwork and willingness to help.

For Bronson’s ERG, two days of volunteering resulted in something their members can drive by and see, and something two future Habitat homeowners will benefit from for years to come.

Thank you, Bronson ERG, for showing what can happen when a team comes together to build something meaningful for our community.
