At Habitat, there’s always a job. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your capabilities are, there’s always a job.

I won’t be paying rent anymore. Instead, I am buying a home of my own. I feel like I have finally achieved something in life.

When I volunteer with Habitat, I am able to connect with other people who are passionate about serving. I am able to use my own abilities to help people have an impact on the community. I absolutely love that it gets me out of that normal of living for myself to living to help other people.

I have learned so much in two years and made so many new friends along the way. Habitat for Humanity employees and volunteers have given me hope, faith, and confidence that were lost from my heart for a long time. I have a vision of a brighter future, a belief in a better humanity and knowledge of a stronger community.

It’s all about giving back to the community. Habitat gives me the opportunity to do just that in a very meaningful way.

The journey to homeownership has been long, involved and sometimes too good to be true. I have to tell you that it was beyond worth the experience. It is truly amazing and I will be forever grateful for all that I have learned from everyone as a partner in the program. I have developed knowledge and skills that will provide me with a favorable advantage as a new homeowner.

Volunteering with Habitat is fun and it feels good. I always learn something and enjoy working with the other volunteers.

We’ve found some great buys here — a door for our shed, a refrigerator and cabinets for our lake house, some new carpet tiles. The prices are right and the profits help others.

So how could we ever say thank you for something as special as this? We will take special care of our home and always remember the sacrifices that went into building this house! –

I am so happy to donate to the Habitat ReStore. It is an easy way to support Habitat for Humanity and I love the fact that others can use the stuff I don’t need anymore.

Thank you so much for inviting us to the Home Dedication yesterday. We enjoyed seeing the impact our volunteer work has made on the house and the family and are truly excited for them to move in!

When I get ready to do a project, the ReStore is my first stop. Why spend all that money to get the same thing at another store? If you are patient, you can get the good stuff and not pay so much for it.
