Subcontractor Prequalification Master RFP

Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity (KVHH) invites qualified, licensed, and insured contractors to join our preapproved subcontractor pool for home repair, accessibility, and residential construction services that promote safety, accessibility, and housing stability for local households.

KVHH is soliciting proposals from subcontractors across multiple trades to support publicly funded home repair, accessibility, and injury prevention programs. This Master Request for Proposals (RFP) allows vendors to apply for one or more trades through a single submission and establishes a pool of eligible subcontractors who may receive work assignments on an as-needed basis.

Types of Services Needed

KVHH is seeking subcontractors in the following areas:

  • HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Foundation, concrete, and waterproofing
  • Environmental services
  • Other related services

Who Should Apply

Qualified applicants should:

  • Be properly licensed
  • Carry current insurance
  • Have experience working in occupied residential homes
  • Be able to comply with organizational & funding source requirements, including background screening requirements

Important Information

Inclusion in KVHH’s subcontractor pool does not guarantee work. Contractors will be selected for individual projects based on qualifications, availability, responsiveness, and program needs.

For projects funded with public or federal dollars, contractor selection for specific work assignments will follow applicable procurement requirements, including competition and cost reasonableness review.
